About the Session

 

Anindito Mukherjee in conversation with Astitva Photo Team - Garima Agarwal and Jai Thakur, where they will be discussing Anindito's photographic practice, his journey so far, and a potential career in Photo Journalism for emerging photographers. 

The session flow will be as follows:

4:00 PM: Reporting time

4:15 PM - 6:00 PM: Introduction, Artist Talk and Q & A

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Open Interaction hour over chai and snacks

 

About the Speaker

Anindito is an independent photojournalist and documentary photographer with expertise in capturing narratives related to Health, Politics, Economics, and Development. He undertakes commissioned documentary projects and has affiliations with The New York Times, Getty Images, and Bloomberg. Currently serving as the South Asia Photo Editor consultant for AFP, his proficiency covers news coverage, feature stories, and documentary ventures. Anindito has collaborated extensively with global organizations like UNICEF, WHO, IPE Global, Reach to Teach, Rotary International, and BISA, focusing on impactful projects in areas such as Health (Polio Immunizations), WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), and Child-Women Health and Education.
